Know your Shield

“Justice cannot be for one side alone but must be for both.”

Attorney and Counselor at Law

Rebecca L. Lively

Rebecca Lively is a former Denton County prosecutor, who has tried cases ranging from Driving While Intoxicated to Capital Murder.  Even before becoming an official attorney, Rebecca knew she wanted to work in criminal law and in the court room.  She interned in the District Attorney’s Offices of both Tarrant County and Bexar County.   Rebecca Lively has effectively represented hundreds of persons facing criminal charges. She is highly recommended by former clients who praise her fierce determination to beat their charges and her knowledgeable and straight-forward courtside manner. Rebecca is well respected by the judges and prosecutors with whom she works daily in Denton County, Texas.

Rebecca is married with two boys.  Together they enjoy playing and watching baseball and JiuJitsu.  She is a member of multiple legal Bar Associations, a published author, and a board member for a 501(c)3 Foundation, raising money for her local school district.

As Your Attorney

Rebecca Lively is an experienced trial attorney.  Her favorite part of being a lawyer is taking a complex criminal case to a jury and showing them the truth.  However, there is much more that goes into an aggressive, effective criminal defense than just a trial.

When you first meet with Ms. Lively, there will be thorough discussion of the case and the circumstances. Depending on the charges, both Ms. Lively and yourself will decide together how to move forward with the bond companies, police, district attorney’s office, or other law enforcement entities.

Rebecca Lively’s goal is to gain as much information as possible and then make a comprehensive legal analysis of the facts.  Having worked for years as an Assistant District Attorney and in multiple District Attorney’s offices, she is able to bring both the prosecution and defense perspectives to every client’s case.

Not only does she know how both sides think, but she understand what it takes to thoroughly prepare and succeed under pressure-filled circumstances. So, if both Ms. Lively and yourself are not able to achieve a reasonable outcome through negotiations, you can count on her to aggressively attack the criminal charges against you in trial. Rebecca Lively has tried many cases, from Driving While Intoxicated to Capital Murder, and feels very comfortable in the courtroom.
